The main function of Solder Wick Braid Wire is to absorb excess solder on the circuit board. Because the tin-absorbing copper braided belt has good adsorption and thermal conductivity, when using it, it is combined with an electric soldering iron. When the soldering iron is heated to melt the solder, the solder will be absorbed into the tin-absorbing copper braided belt, so that the solder joints can be easily cleaned, which is convenient for the disassembly and re-soldering of electronic components. For example, when repairing a circuit board, when you need to replace a damaged electronic component, you can use a tin-absorbing copper braid to remove the solder on the solder joint so that the component can be removed from the circuit board smoothly.

How does the tin-absorbing copper braid work:

- Prepare a suitable electric soldering iron. Select an electric soldering iron with appropriate power according to the size of the solder joint and the type of circuit board. It is used for small solder joints and precision circuit boards. Too much power may damage the circuit board.

- Cut the tin-absorbing copper braid into appropriate lengths. The width can be selected according to the size of the solder joint, generally a few millimeters.

How to use the tin-absorbing copper braid

- First, preheat the electric soldering iron to an appropriate temperature so that the soldering iron tip can quickly melt the solder.

- Then, place one end of the tin-absorbing copper braid on the solder joint where the solder needs to be removed, ensuring that the braid is in full contact with the solder.

- Next, place the preheated electric soldering iron tip at the position where the solder joint contacts the tin-absorbing copper braid so that the solder is heated and melted. At the moment when the solder melts, the solder will be absorbed by the tin-absorbing copper braid due to capillary action.

- If it is not sucked clean in one time, you can repeat the above steps to remove the remaining solder.

After-care

- After use, clean the tin-absorbing copper braid in time. Because after absorbing the solder, the braid will become hard, affecting the next use. You can cut off the used tin-absorbing copper braid, or use tools to remove the hard part so that the remaining part can continue to be used normally.
